Creating and Saving Audit Views

Use Insites audit views to create multiple views in one

Insites allows you to build and save multiple audit views, making it easy to tailor audits for different purposes, teams, or stages of your workflow. Instead of using the same audit layout every time, you can customise what information is shown and save those configurations for quick access later.

This flexibility helps ensure that each team sees the insights that matter most to them, without unnecessary data cluttering their view.

Why Use Multiple Audit Views?

Different teams often need to focus on different types of information. By creating separate audit views, you can streamline reporting and make audits more relevant for each audience.

For example, you might create:

  • An SEO audit view that highlights technical SEO checks, keyword performance, and site health.

  • An Ads audit view focused on campaign performance, tracking setup, and conversion data.

  • A Sales audit view that surfaces high-level insights useful for prospecting or pitching.

  • A Customer Success audit view that prioritises ongoing performance and improvement opportunities.

  • A Production or Delivery audit view designed for teams responsible for implementing fixes and optimisations.

Each of these views can include different modules, metrics, or sections depending on what the team needs to see.

How Audit Views Help Your Workflow

Saving different audit views helps teams work more efficiently by:

  • Reducing setup time – quickly switch to a saved configuration instead of rebuilding audits from scratch.

  • Improving clarity – show only the most relevant data for each team or use case.

  • Standardising processes – ensure teams use consistent audit formats.

  • Supporting collaboration – different departments can work from views tailored to their responsibilities.

Using Audit Views with Lead Generation Widgets

You can also use your audit views with your bespoke or self serve lead generation widgets. This allows you to turn a customised audit into a lead magnet, honing in on specific sections of your audits and allowing you to run, targeted campaigns.

Using tailored audit views as lead magnets helps you deliver relevant, high-value insights while collecting qualified leads.

How It Works

When setting up a lead generation widget, you can choose one of your saved audit views to power the report that visitors receive. This means the audit a prospect receives will match the structure, metrics, and focus areas you’ve configured.

How to set them up

👉 Head to your audit designer from the main menu (your profile picture on the top right)

👉 Click the plus button towards the top left of the screen, next to "Overview"

👉 Type in a name for the view and press "save"

👉 Hide all the sections that you don't want to appear in your new view, by clicking the cog button on each of the sections and selecting the "Hide all checks in this section" toggle

👉 Or hide the all the tests that you don't want to appear in your new view, by clicking the eye button next to the individual test

Best Practices

To get the most value from audit views:

  • Create clear names for their use cases (for example, SEO Audit, Ads Audit, Sales Overview).

  • Keep views focused on a specific goal or audience.

  • Review and update saved views periodically to ensure they reflect your current workflow.

By setting up multiple audit views in the platform, you can create a more organised, efficient, and collaborative auditing process across your team.
