The Local Grid Test works by overlaying a 5x5 grid on the SME’s location, with their business at the centre. Each point on this grid represents a specific area, showing the business's ranking for its target keywords based on Google search results.

What makes it special? You can dive into each grid point to see exactly how your business measures up against competitors in that area. Whether your business is in a rural setting or the heart of a city, the grid adjusts automatically based on local competition density. The coverage area can also be customised, ranging from 25km² to 400km².

The Table: Identifying Key Competitors

Alongside the grid, users will find a dynamic table listing all competitors within the grid. This table ranks competitors by their "Threat level," which is determined by their presence across the grid and their average ranking within those points. This feature allows you to see, at a glance, who your biggest threats are.

From this table, users can highlight specific competitors on the local grid map or add them for ongoing tracking in future audits. This ensures you’re always aware of who your biggest competition is.
