Insites Keyword Intelligence is the hub of all our keyword research tools: Keyword Planner, Target Keywords, and Locations.

Keyword Planner

Our Keyword Planner uses AI, competitor data, and website content to generate keyword suggestions that your customers’ sites are missing, meaning your sales reps and production teams can sell and add tangible improvements to their website.

Target Keywords

Your sales reps and production teams can monitor the performance of a customer’s keywords, allowing them to be proactive when it’s time to optimise what they’re ranking for currently, and what new opportunities might have popped up since their last website update. Under Target Keywords, you can store your customers’ keywords, find suggestions, or manually add your own.

Locations

Want to rank locally? Locations allows you to add multiple locations, giving your sales reps and production teams the most accurate keywords to help them rank in those areas.

Whether they’re a plumber in Poole or a hairdresser in Harrogate, our Locations functionality will ensure the keywords suggested are optimised for their local business.

How to use Keyword Intelligence

  1. Insites runs an automated location & keywords detection as part of an initial audit scan.

    1. Short on time? You can use this data alone to help with sales calls!

  2. Head to Locations and check, update, or add any additional locations that your customer would like to rank for

    1. Top tip: Have you checked after the initial audit that the location is correct? You can check in Locations

  3. Next, head to Target Keywords and manually adjust and/or generate your target keywords.

    1. Top tip: Are you looking for new keywords? Head to Keyword Planner to generate target keywords or add your own within Target Keywords

  4. Now, it’s time for an updated audit so you can see the latest rankings in checks such as Organic Search, Local Pack, and Local Grid

  5. Once the audit has been re-run, users should enter the Target Keywords tab for a comprehensive view of the latest keyword rankings across these checks.

  6. Once you’ve done this, you’re ready to see your customer’s current rankings and track them over time

  7. Alternatively, users can look specifically at the detail section for each of these checks.

  8. Now that they’re informed of the latest rankings, they can work alongside Production/QA to figure out how best to optimise them.

  9. At this stage, there should be no reason to revisit the Locations or Keyword Planner tab, unless users want to conduct keyword research again based on a different set of inputs (e.g. different P&S, competitors)
