Yext clients can integrate the Yext presence scan directly into Insites. This offers a number of key benefits:
Backed by Yext, Insites can check a much broader selection of local directories in your market
Your reps now need only one sales tool for your entire product suite, and can have a joined up conversation about websites, ads and more along side Yext listing management products
Insites’ analysis is aligned with your listing management product - there's no chance of a disagreement between different reporting tools
How to activate the Yext integration
Before you start
Make sure before you start that you:
Have an Enterprise licence of Insites
Have been granted Scan API access from Yext (this is not enabled by default, you will need to speak to your Yext representative)
Have requested the Yext integration to be activated by your Insites Customer Success Manager
Getting a Yext API key
Log in to Yext and go to Developer Console
Scroll down to Your Apps and click the + New App button
Give the app a sensible name (like Insites) email and phone number
Under permissions, click Add Endpoint and choose Scan endpoint. If you don't see this listed as an endpoint, speak to your Yext representative about getting access to the Scan API
Repeat the process to add Scan Results endpoint
Change the permissions drop down to Read / Write for both endpoints
Click Create App
Find the app you created and click View App Details
Your API key will be displayed under Credentials & Linking. Copy this to the clipboard, you will need to add the API key into Insites
Adding the API key to Insites
Log in to Insites and go to Account Settings
From the top menu go to the Report Designer
Fnd Local presence (Yext v2.0). Ensure the test is enabled and has been dragged into the audit.

Scroll to the bottom and click Save changes
Note that after changing the configuration of the audit, you must run a fresh report to see updated results.
Setting up Google Business Profile scanning
By default, the Yext scan may not check Google Business Profiles or Google Maps listings. This is because in order to operate, it requires a Google Maps API key. Note that while Google has a generous free tier for their mapping APIs, you will be liable for any costs associated with the Yext scans conducted through Insites.

From the top menu go to the Report Designer
